Neal 'The Kneeling Knee-Kicker'
Neal's legend began on a Mardi Gras day, under the clear blue of a Louisiana sky. Neal, a New Orleans native and a lifelong lover of the city's traditions, was there amidst the crowds, eagerly awaiting the parade's floats and their coveted throws.
As a particularly elaborate float approached, adorned with sparkling lights and blaring lively music, Neal spotted something special: a set of beads, unlike any he had ever seen, glimmering in the sun. These weren't just ordinary beads; they were the kind of Mardi Gras treasure that locals and visitors alike dream of catching.
Determined not to miss his chance, Neal positioned himself in the path of the incoming treasure. But as the beads flew through the air, a sudden push from the excited crowd threw off his balance. In a split-second decision, Neal dropped to his knees to avoid the jostling but refused to give up on his prize. Instinctively, he kicked up one leg, creating a pose that was part acrobat, part dancer. To the amazement of everyone watching, the beads landed perfectly around his raised foot.
The crowd erupted in cheers and laughter, and Neal, still on his knees with his leg triumphantly in the air, couldn’t help but join in the joy. It was a Mardi Gras miracle, a moment of pure serendipity that would define his future.
From that day on, Neal became known for his unique bead-catching move. When he joined the 610 Stompers, it wasn’t just his love for dance and community spirit that made him stand out; it was his ability to turn an accidental moment into a signature move. Neal’s knee-drop with a high kick became a symbol of his quick thinking and playful spirit, a move that delighted crowds and encapsulated the heart and soul of Mardi Gras.
Note: Neal is as much a product of imagination as he is of LEGO bricks – a fictional legend in our miniature Mardi Gras universe.
